while story can be told to child orally any time it is also advisable to buy some simple story books and occassionally make child sit in lap and read the story while child is seeing book. this will help them to enchance literacy skills.

Gradation of Stories
Stories can be can be graded in to 3 levels
Order of stories in the gradation is left to teacher. That means the published books will have stories from 1st class to 4th class as one set. Teacher will take her own order of selection as which story will meet the level of 2nd class. We can broadly categorise into 3 levels
Stories can be classified in to these three levels based on the diction and level hard words used in the story. The more harder the words in the story the higher the level of class into which it will be classified
