Pujya Babuji Maharaj worked until his retirement in a municipal court. Once a co-clerk on account of caste prejudice teased Sri Ramchandraji (Pujya Babuji Maharaj) when he joined a new post in which he had no experience. Instead of teaching and helping, he resorted to harassing techniques so much that Babuji Maharaj even opted to resign from office.
The matter was reported to Munsif. Munsif told him that he would teach the work and that he would continue in office, saying simultaneously that he cannot get such an honest man.
Babuji Maharaj continued the service and with the help of the Munsif was able to learn the work fast in a few months and was comfortable. Babuji Maharaj has no enmity towards the co-clerk; Babuji Maharaj even loved him more.
Swami one of the disciples of Babuji Maharaj had been to Shahjahanpur during his vacation to spend some time with great Master.
Swami sat near the feet of Master along with few other aspirants. Weather was cool. Winter in Master’s town is really great thing to enjoy. The tea was served just then. The occasional serving of hot tea to the body and warmth of love of Master to the soul is some thing inexpressible.
A disciple came to Babuji Maharaj and told that his co-clerk son has come. Babuji Maharaj walked to the door and came back with a young boy. Babuji Maharaj affectionately made him sat next to him.
Swami was told by one the other disciple that it is his father died few months back. He was the one who tortured Master so much in the office. Swami felt angry.
Babuji Maharaj asked to serve young boy a cup of tea and informed the boy that he tried to get a job for him. The boy felt very happy.
This made Swami to become all the more furious. He was going on grumbling with other aspirants. But knowing Master’s mentality none reacted.
After some time the boy went away with gratitude filled in the heart towards Babuji Maharaj.
Swami stood with fits of anger. Understanding the state of Swami, Babuji Maharaj with smile said
“It is what his father felt like doing for me and he did. And this is what I feel like doing for this young boy and I did it as my duty.”
Babuji again smiled and started taking hookah.
Still not compromised out of agony Swami went away from that place. While going, from distance he heard a lady voice asking children to say loudly, “Be not revengeful for the wrongs done by others. Take them with gratitude as heavenly gifts”. Children together repeated the same.
Hearing this, Swami’s anger slowly reduced. He felt “Master live and then write for others. We followers should read and exhibit.” Humbly he came back and touched the holy feet of Babuji Maharaj with a prayer full heart “please help me to grow!!!“
Babuji lifted him and made him sit next to him. Slowly silence around resounded with children voice loudly saying “Mould your life so has to rouse a feeling of love and piety in others”
