Hi, I am Eswari,

My journey began in 1991 which I feel, it will never end. I started working as supporting teacher and later as educator, special school in charge and regular school counsellor. Simultaneously I worked as counsellor for teachers, parents and yes ! for children too and I am still continuing to work as consultant for children with learning difficulties.

In due course of time, I felt it is insufficient to help children with regular psychological reports which are done once in a while. I felt there is need to develop Informal Inventories grade level assessments to help children who are having learning difficulties. I have developed my own grade level reading materials to understand the level of reading, writing and math concepts of children and help them with simple methods.

By using these assessments, many children were guided and still being guided. Almost around 20 to 30 children were reintegrated successfully back to normal school. Some of them who have crossed their first milestone of education that is what we call passing of SSC (10th Class) with grade more than 7. There was enormous happiness in children as well as parents.

To help many more, with support of my husband Sarma J.M. I started writing contents of this website.

I understand and empathize not only children with educational problems but also parents who really wander school by school and specialist by specialist to understand about their child. I also feel very much for teachers and special teachers who really want to help the child but feel lack of resources at one place.

I do continuously update my knowledge by extensive reading, attending various courses, workshops and seminars. Also, I do discuss with professionals. I feel this is very important for any professional who would like to work with special children.

Other than imparting education and counselling, I love to

  • Encourage students to write stories, poems and articles,
  • Write and collect articles from various sources having moral values to teach children
  • Identify and bring out latent talents of children especially in painting, drawing and writing
  • Conduct art fares of children in regular school as well as special school
  • Organize, coordinate and guide teachers in pre-vocational activities like gardening, biscuit making, stitching and tailoring

Also, I was part of team in collecting and writing moral stories for children for an NGO. In fact, they published these as a series of Moral Story Books for children and made part of curriculum of the school. Also, there was a quarterly newsletter of various school and value-based articles including poems and stories. This was published regularly and I was part of the Editorial Team.
